2017 Photo Rally

This year we changed our photo rally up a little taking on some ideas from the Lismore Camera Club. We had a set course with 15 subjects covering an area from Grafton to Maclean and a 4 hour time period to take all the photos in. Just to up the ante a little you were only allowed to take one shot for each subject with the file numbers needing to be sequential and they were checked on submissions of the entries. Once we were done we had a nice lunch at the Brushgrove Hotel.

This year the entries will be printed and judged by members of our club who did not attend the rally. The results (and prizes!) will be announced at the presentation night on Jan 11th. This will be a pizza night to continue with the idea of it being a social event.

Instead of just one over all winner being recognised - we are following Lismore CC's lead and having a small prize for the winner of each category as well as some overall winners.

So far the feedback has been that everyone enjoyed the outing and it has been suggested that we hold more than one per year - so we will see what happens - and who gets all the prizes :-)
