We had a great turnout for our Photo Rally Result night - all 14 participants from the rally returned to see how many prizes they could win as well as a few other members and visitors who were interested in seeing what we had all got up to.
Dinner was from the pizza delivery and made for a great social catch up before we got down to the serious business at hand ... chocolate!
Instead of just recognising the overall winner of our photo rally as we had done in previous years, this year we were trialling a different format - where the winner of each category won a prize (block of chocolate) and then there were awards for overall first second and third. Of course the over all winner was presented with our John Furlonger Photo Rally trophy and they will get to keep that until our next photo rally.
The category winners were spread around with several of our new members winning a category which was great to see. The ladies from Lismore Camera Club who had joined our photo rally managed to take home some chocolate too but the person needing the trailer for all her prizes was Tess Schembri. Tess did really well with some of her creative arty shots.
The overall winner for the rally was Jan WIlson with her monochrome photo of the Ulmarra Street Scene and she was very surprised when her name was read out. Lisa Thorne came second over all with her photo of the Cowper Art Gallery and Jeremy Moremon came third with his photo of St Judes church at Brushgrove.
All in all the feedback was that everyone had fun - both on the rally as well as enjoying the presentation.
It seems that we will be running 2 photo rallys this year so keep an eye out for the next date.
